| State of Louisiana Department of Insurance Requirements |
| Those licensed in Life/Health/Accident must complete 16 hours of LHA courses every 2 years. Courses must be completed by April 30 of even numbered years.
Those licensed in Property & Casualty must complete 16 hours of P/C courses every 2 years. Courses must be completed by April 30 of odd numbered years.
Those dually licensed must complete 32 hours with 12 hours in LHA and 20 hours in P/C courses.
ONLY HALF OF REQUIRED HOURS MAY BE BY SELF-STUDY.
Exams are non-monitored.
Life/Health licensees can carry over up to 6 hours. Property/Casualty licensees can carry over up to 10 hours. Please note: only half can be carried over from self study courses.
Course provider reports course completion every month.
Failure to comply with c.e. requirement results in a $50 late fee. Licensees have a 5 year grace period to reinstate their license. |
